Former King Gyanendra Arrives in Kathmandu Amid Heightened Security

Former King Gyanendra Shah has arrived in Kathmandu from Jhapa, landing at Tribhuvan International Airport via a Kailash helicopter. Monarchist supporters had gathered outside the airport to welcome him.

Initially, he was scheduled to arrive by Buddha Air flight, but due to weather-related flight delays, he opted for a helicopter, an airport security official told Ratopati.

Authorities have implemented heightened security measures, anticipating the possibility of unruly behavior during the gathering.
