Nepali Congress Pledges to Utilize Full Five-Year Parliamentary Term for National Progress

At an election program in Sarlahi-4, Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa emphasized that the party intends to make the most of the five-year parliamentary term to advance Nepal’s development.
Thapa stated, “Nepal can no longer waste these five years of parliament. This period must be used to improve the country’s economy, agriculture, employment, education, and health sectors. Nepali Congress will make full use of this time.” He added that the party seeks strong support from Madhes, highlighting that Madhes is the birthplace of Congress and has nurtured and sustained the party.
Acknowledging past mistakes, Thapa said, “Madhes has always treated Congress fairly, but the party has fallen short in giving Madhes the respect, representation, justice, and rights it deserves.”
Thapa, who is contesting from Sarlahi-4, also appealed for support for Congress from all four constituencies of Sarlahi and 32 constituencies across Madhes, promising that the party will fulfill its responsibility to serve both the country and the Madhes region during the next five years.
