Nepal Eliminated from Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier After Loss to Scotland

Kathmandu — In their final group-stage match of the Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, Nepal was defeated by Scotland by 73 runs on Monday. Chasing Scotland’s target of 141 runs, Nepal was bowled out for just 68 runs in 13.5 overs, ending their campaign in the tournament.
For Nepal, Roma Thapa remained not out with 14 runs. Opener Bindu Rawal scored 14 runs, while the other opener, Samjhana Khadka, managed 7 runs before being dismissed.
Earlier, after losing the toss, Scotland batted first and were all out for 140 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Priyanaz Chatterjee top-scored for Scotland with 45 runs.
For Nepal, Manisha Upadhyay took 4 wickets, while Rubina Chhetri claimed 3 wickets. Sita Rana Magar, Rubina Chhetri, Kavita Joshi, and Riya Sharma took one wicket each.
