Home Minister Aryal: Misleading posts on social media to face immediate legal action

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has stated that there is no need to wait for a court order to take legal action against those spreading false and misleading information on social media. He directed the Cyber Bureau to actively monitor and control misleading information during the election period.

Minister Aryal emphasized that the Cyber Bureau should play a key role in preventing misuse of social media that could disrupt social harmony, and take immediate action against illegal or unregistered social media accounts spreading false information.

He further instructed the bureau to ensure that the election environment on Falgun 21 remains orderly and secure by actively monitoring and acting against misleading content.
