Election Commission to Enforce Code of Conduct from Magh 5

KATHMANDU The Election Commission has decided to enforce the Election Code of Conduct starting tomorrow, Magh 5. The decision was taken during a meeting held by the commission today.

The code of conduct will come into effect a day before the nomination filing for direct candidates in the upcoming House of Representatives election, scheduled for Magh 6.

Under the code, the commission will monitor activities including campaigning, candidate actions, government appointments, and media publications related to the election.

The House of Representatives election is set to be held on Magh 21. This move aims to ensure a fair and transparent election process across all constituencies.
