Finance Minister Khanal in ‘Cooling Period,’ Will Not Participate in Ministry Work

Rameshwar Khanal has announced that he will not participate in the day-to-day activities of the Ministry of Finance.
Following the submission of the election results to President Ramchandra Paudel, Khanal stated that the ‘cooling period’ has now begun. Through social media, he also urged people not to speculate unnecessarily by linking his name to decisions during this period.
According to Tanka Prasad Pandey, spokesperson for the ministry, policy decisions will be paused until the new minister assumes office, but daily administrative work will continue.
Meanwhile, the ministry confirmed that the budget preparation process for the new fiscal year will not be affected.
