Proposal Prepared to Reject Gagan Thapa’s Resignation

A proposal has been prepared to reject the resignation of Gagan Thapa from the position of party chairperson.
The proposal is expected to be presented at a meeting of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee.
Thapa had submitted his resignation to Bishwo Prakash Sharma, taking responsibility for the party’s defeat in the recent elections.
At the meeting, Sharma himself is expected to brief the committee on the resignation and present the proposal to decline it.
Party leaders have stated that the responsibility for the electoral loss should not be placed on a single individual, which is why the committee is preparing to reject Thapa’s resignation.
