Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Breaks Record with Paid Preview Earnings Before Release

The much-anticipated film Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, has already created a new record even before its official release.

According to Indian media reports, the film earned around INR 271.3 million (approximately 27.13 crore) through paid preview shows scheduled for March 18, setting a new benchmark in Indian cinema.

With this achievement, Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the paid preview records of major films such as They Call Him OG and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

A total of 9,550 preview shows were organized across India, selling approximately 538,000 tickets.

Ticket prices have also been notably high. In Mumbai, tickets reportedly reached around INR 3,100, while in New Delhi prices were around INR 2,400.

Including advance bookings, the film’s pre-release earnings are expected to reach nearly INR 319 million (31.9 crore).

The film has also received strong response in the international market, with paid previews worldwide projected to earn around INR 600 million (60 crore). In North America alone, more than 67,000 tickets have already been booked.

The first installment, Dhurandhar, released in 2025, had already set a major record by earning INR 13.03 billion (1,303 crore) worldwide.

Along with Ranveer Singh, the film features performances by Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan.

The film is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar and will be released in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—on March 19.
