IMDb Lists Most Anticipated Indian Films of 2026

IMDb has released its list of the most anticipated Indian films for 2026, with Shah Rukh Khan’s King topping the rankings. The popular portal compiles the list based on annual searches from over 250 million viewers worldwide.

The list includes films in five languages, with 10 Hindi films leading, followed by five Telugu, three Tamil, and one each in Malayalam and Kannada. King marks the reunion of Shah Rukh Khan with director Siddharth Anand of Pathaan fame and will be Shah Rukh’s first theatrical release in nearly three years. Its top position reflects the excitement among fans for his return to the big screen.

Following King, the list features Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological epic Ramayana: Chapter One starring Ranveer Kapoor and Yash; South superstar Vijay’s much-anticipated final film Jana Nayagan; Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit starring Prabhas; and Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas and starring Yash.

The list highlights numerous popular actors appearing in multiple projects. South actress Nayanthara will appear in both Toxic and Patriot, alongside Malayalam stars Mammootty and Mohanlal. Yash stars in Ramayana: Chapter One and Toxic. Sunny Deol will be seen in Ramayana: Chapter One and Border 2. Prabhas features in Spirit and Fauji. Ranveer Kapoor appears in Ramayana: Chapter One and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, with Alia Bhatt also starring. Bhatt will appear in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe series Alpha. Tripti Dimri is cast in Spirit and O Romeo.

Other films in the list include Dhurandhar 2, Yash Raj Films’ detective universe film Alpha, Lokesh Cinematic Universe’s Benz, and Madcap Horror-Comedy Universe’s Shakti Shalini. The top 20 also feature Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan, Pradeep Rangnath’s LIK: Love Insurance Company, Nani’s The Paradise, Ram Charan’s Peddy, Jr. NTR’s Dragon, and Akshay Kumar’s Bhoot Bangla.
