Kathmandu, — Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has proposed a strategy to align with Gen Z voters for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for February 21, 2026.
As part of this plan, Shah has tasked Gen Z activist Raksha Bam with the responsibility of bringing together young voters whose ideas and support align with the mayor’s vision.
Speaking to Citizen News, Bam said, “Balen Ji has given me the responsibility to unite Gen Z voters. My main duty is to gather those whose opinions and votes are in agreement.”
The responsibility was formally assigned during a discussion held on Wednesday evening. Shah, who has formed his own political party, has begun preparatory work to contest the elections through the officially registered party. He also confirmed that his election symbol will be the ‘stick’.
